Now that Thanksgiving is behind us, we can officially start thinking about Christmas. Are you excited or annoyed? I’m really excited and have already started my shopping! :) Since today is the day that the shopping frenzy typically begins on I thought I’d give you a shopping list for every foodie on your list.

From Left to Right:

  1. Truffle Salt: my favorite salt for eggs, popcorn, mashed potatoes, etc. It is delicious on everything!
  2. Subscription to the top food magazines: Bon Appetit, Food & Wine, Saveur, etc.
  3. Flavored Vinegars: versatile and can add that extra something to vinaigrettes. (not pictured)
  4. Chocolate Nut Butters: self-explanatory and sure to make that morning toast extra special.
  5. Bacon: it’s all the rage and my favorite, Nueske’s has gift baskets and ships everywhere!
  6. Specialty Cocktail Mixes: we tried a home made Basil Limeade from Golden Fig (Thanks for the recommendation Kate!) and it was as amazing as it sounds.
  7. Kitchen Confidential: Adventures in the Culinary Underbelly, by Anthony Bourdain.
  8. Heirloom Beans: much more fun than the garbanzo bean standard.
  9. Mo’s Bacon Bar: See #4 and #5.
  10. Cookie Exchange Tags: sharing recipes for Christmas Cookies will never get old.
  11. Food for those in Need: the best foodie gift of all.

What’s on your wish list this year?

Share it!

Man, I haven’t even started thinking about Christmas yet! Oh dear. What I really need is a new camera, and a new computer! So far out of everyone’s price ranges . . . drat!

I LOVE Mo’s Bacon Bar. :-) This year I’m asking Santa for a food processor!

Love this list—it gave me some new items to look at!

My mom got a seasonal job at William Sonoma. The day she told her I emailed her a wish list of items from there like a mandolin, garlic press and various cookbooks since she gets a 40% discount :)

What a great list! I’ve had foodie gifts on my mind and had thought about doing a similar post soon. I’m a huge fan of the bacon bar and heirloom beans have really peaked my interest. I want to get those for myself. :)
