drinking tea again. I don’t drink much tea in the summer, but now that the weather has (sort of) cooled down, I’m all about it. I also try to use Sugar Cookie tea as a dessert in the winter. Sometimes it works. :)

finishing my half marathon! I ran the Rock N’ Roll Los Angeles on an early Sunday morning. I hit my goal of finishing under two hours (I think my time was 1:57) and I’ve got the terrible race photos to prove it. It feels like that was SO long ago now!

discovering starbucks rewards app. So many convienient things about this app. I can load money and pay with my phone which is the most amazing thing. I’m hooked.

having little bro in town! We had a great weekend full of exciting hikes, football games, rum at the Tiki Ti and lots of chicken wings.

making fun cocktails. Bourbon Maple Apple Cider from fruetcake was a big hit. I’m not a huge cocktail person, but I tried a sip and Richie loved it. I think it’s a new favorite in our house. Not to mention we now have 78 ounces of apple cider…

having friends in town! SO fun. Dinner at Connie & Ted’s, lunch at Villa Blanca (complete with a Lisa & Ken Vanderpump sighting), shopping, drinks at The Beverly Hills Hotel and dancing at SUR. We packed a lot into 48 hours.

updating my “About” page. It was long overdue!

obsessed with all things holiday parties and holiday decorations. (Above is one of my favorites, from Haiti.)

not running. I don’t think I’ve run since the half! I’ve been doing elliptical and/or incline walking, the 7-minute workout and barre3 dvd’s.

getting some Christmas shopping done at Uniuqe LA (modern, made-in-America goods).

trying out a new restaurant in Culver City called FIN. Delish sushi (and my favorite, crispy rice)!

wrapping lots of gifts and getting them in the mail! CB2 has the cutest wrapping station FYI.

watching my friend Mercedes (Satisfy My Sweet Tooth) on The Today Show! She did absolutely amazing, I’m so proud.

What have you been up to lately? Ready for Christmas?

My beverage intake increases ten-fold in the winter months. I just can’t drink bottled water any more as it’s too cold! And boiled water on it’s own is plain! It’s all sorts of tea, green tea in the morning, milk tea in the afternoon and lemon tea at might. Terrible for my teeth though!

I’m currently in a tea phase. I swear Celestial Seasonings puts some addicting substance in their teas. Crack? Who knows. But I’m addicted to Sugar Cookie Sleigh Ride and Sweet Harvest Pumpkin. Speaking of which… going to make a mug now…

Way to go on the half marathon! That is an incredible accomplishment, and very encouraging to see your journey up to that point.
I need to start drinking tea, I only hear good things from making that switch. Thank you!

Nice job on your half marathon! I can totally relate to how good it feels to have pages on your website up to date! I’ve been doing some of that same end of the year “website clean up” as well! Recently found your website and absolutely love it! From one nutritionist to the next, keep up the great work!
