into DIY art projects (this one is going up in my office and came from Bower Power)

feeling like LA is really small…I’ve run into 3 people from high school/college in the last few weeks – all random!

brunch at AMMO – so good

meeting my new adorable cousin and having a West Coast family reunion!

drooling over this grilled steak, avocado and spicy crema sandwich

(source)

finally getting back to a hot power fusion yoga class…it was wonderful but the music was iffy (Call Me Maybe? Really?)

eating more delicious salmon from Copper River

spending a day at Crystal Cove Beach (in between Newport Beach and Laguna Beach – it was gorgeous and we’ll definitely be visiting again soon!)

seeing Liza Minnelli at the Hollywood Bowl

finishing up the book Wild, by Cheryl Strayed – SO good!

staying up too late on a school night seeing Animal Kingdom at the Troubadour

Lately you’ve been…

Call me maybe…in YOGA? That would have made my day, but probably in a “you’ve gotta be kidding me/laughing so hard I’m falling out of poses” way. I love the instructor at my studio who uses a lot of Red Hot Chili Peppers in her soundtracks, though. It’s fun to mix it up!

Yes, it was really distracting! I love music in yoga, but I guess it has to be a little more mellow/alternative and not so poppy! (I save pop for cardio!)

Love your art project – that looks great! The beach sounds amazing. Lately I’ve been trying to enjoy our summer weather (boooo MN winters come to fast). Can’t wait to catch up in person next week! :)

I love that DIY art project! It looks amazing and I already bookmarked the website with instructions! Crystal Cove is one of my favorite beaches to go to when I am home, there is also a trailhead not to far away and you can go on a hike with gorgeous views of the beach!

Gorgeous DIY project! Will be adding to my to-do list…

Lunch, sandwich, beach… all look amazing!

Lately I’ve been… getting back into yoga (minus the strange music… and, yin; have you tried yin?!), swimbikerunning, brainstorming for my blog and searching for some #joblove :)

Is yin at CP? I don’t think they offer that class here…they really only offer C1-2, HPF and Yoga Pilates. :(

It’s only offered at the Edina studio, but is worth the drive across town on Sunday afternoon! Yoga Pilates sounds great… is that at CPY out there?

Adore the DIY art project! I so want to be crafty and do things like that…yet I know I’d be terrible at it :) Must give it a try sometime!

I LOVE that art project! I’m actually thinking of whipping up a few of those myself. ;) That sandwich is making me crave a big steak. Yum!

Do you ever do Bikram, Emily? I never used to be a yoga person but I started that up a few months ago and I love it! Hope you’re having a great summer, and have a great time next weekend!! :)

LOVE Bikram! Took a class the morning of my wedding. :) Sadly, the studios that I go to here in CA don’t offer bikram, but I’m going to have to find a studio that does, I’ve been missing it!

Not sure I could handle that song in any kind of yoga class! Love that painting – gorgeous! And the food has me so hungry. Lately I’m enjoying the excitement of a new writing gig, thinking about our winter vacation this year and enjoying the very autumn like August we are having!
