Hello Everyone!

Happy fourth of july week! It is kind of a weird work week for me – and I suspect many of you too. Work a bit, take a break, work a bit more and then another weekend is here!

I’m not quite sure what our plans are quite yet, but I’m hoping it involves a pool and a grill. :)

This is what I want to eat and drink!

I just started thinking about the day’s food. We are doing a big neighborhood parade and cookout for lunch, so that meal is taken care of. I’m thinking veggie burgers for dinner with homemade jalapeno cheese bun recipe that I just cut out of the paper. I’ll also let the kids make a red white and blue parfait with blueberries, strawberries and their beloved whipped cream. I need that watermelon keg….

I’ll take that little boy along with the pie – he is too cute! I’m sure a bunch of grilled food will be on our 4th menu (and beer!)

I’ve oddly been craving a good brat lately! I must be missing Wisconsin. :)

This is quite the line up! Thanks for the mention Emily! How adorable is that watermelon keg?? We are going to be in the cities for the 4th, so we made it to the lake last weekend since we will not be able to be there this week. I hope you guys do something fun to celebrate!

All of these recipes look amazing! We are not doing any entertaining tomorrow so the only thing I know is that I will be having overnight oats for breakfast before my 10K ran. I am hopingto make these cake batter blondies with the red white and blue cake mix though. Yummy!

Mmmm that watermelon looks like a fun display. Lots of great inspiration. We’ll be contributing a veggie salad and homemade guac at tonight’s festivities. :)
